Inferia ◆ Celestia — out October 16, 2026
Tales of Eternia Remastered

Settings: Graphics mode, SFX mode and controller support

Quick answer

You can switch between remastered and original visuals and sound effects at any time, so no one has to choose before they see both.

The remaster's technical pitch is preservation with options: the original presentation is still in the box, and every new convenience can be turned off. Here is what that means in practice.

Graphics and sound modes

Two independent toggles let you switch between remastered and original presentation:

  • Graphics Mode changes the visuals.
  • SFX Mode changes the sound effects.

They are live switches rather than a choice made at the start of a save, so you can compare them side by side in the first hour and settle on whichever combination you prefer. The remastered art is the default; the original mode exists for players who want the game to look the way they remember it.

Quality-of-life options

OptionEffect
BoostAdjusts experience gained and encounter frequency together
Destination markersToggleable on-screen pointers to your next objective
Encounter controlDisables enemy encounters entirely
Auto-battle high-speedSpeeds up auto-battle during trivial fights
Battle RetryRestarts the fight you just lost
Quick RecoveryRestores the party after a wipe

Everything in that table can be ignored, and the game plays exactly like the original if you do. Nothing about the story, the Craymel system or the bosses changes.

Platform features

  • Full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense pads on PC.
  • Steam Cloud for saves, if you are playing the Steam release.
  • Steam Achievements.
  • Family Sharing on Steam.
  • Single-player only. There is no multiplayer mode in this release.

Languages

Ten interface and subtitle languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Full audio support is listed for English and Japanese only, which makes this the first English release with the skits fully voiced.

Ratings and content

The publisher's product page carries an ESRB content description: Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood, Suggestive Themes, Mild Language. That is a moderate rating rather than a restrictive one, and it matches the original game's tone.

Support

The publisher routes customer support for this title through its own support portal rather than through the storefronts. For PC-specific problems, the storefront's own troubleshooting tools — verifying file integrity, checking overlay conflicts, and cloud-save conflicts — cover the majority of launch-window issues.
