Post-game: Unknown, Nereid's Labyrinth and the tower
Clear the story to unlock the Unknown difficulty; the optional Glimmer Spire and Nereid's Labyrinth sit outside the main route and hold the hardest fights in the game.
Clearing the story opens a harder difficulty and leaves two pieces of optional content sitting outside the main route. Both are worth knowing about before you finish, because one of them changes how a second run is paced.

What unlocks after the credits
- The Unknown difficulty. The hardest setting in the game, unlocked only by completing it. It cannot be selected on a fresh save no matter how confident you are.
- A second look at the party. Nothing in the roster changes, but the Celestian half of the story reads differently once you know where it was going.
Nereid's Labyrinth
The post-game dungeon. A long descent with the hardest regular enemies in the game, and a boss at the bottom with more HP than anything the story puts in front of you. The rewards are the best accessories in the game, including items that reverse or absorb damage.
Two things to bring: a party that can survive a phase change without warning, and a lot of patience. The enemies on the way down are tuned for a completed party, so this is not a place to test a character build you have not finished.
The Glimmer Spire
A tower in Inferia with an optional boss at the top. The boss explicitly warns intruders away and tells them the place is not meant for humans; only one member of the party hears it, which is one of the game's better small touches.
The Spire is scaled for a late-game party, and its boss resists almost everything — enough physical resistance that a party built entirely around attack will struggle. It pays one of the largest experience totals in the game and is worth doing before the labyrinth rather than after.
The rest of the optional content
- Max's recruitment. He joins as an optional playable character, and his multi-element weapon is the most useful thing you can bring to an unfamiliar boss.
- Aifread's seven treasures. A recurring optional objective tied to the party's young pirate captain and her ship. Several have practical uses.
- Cooking completion. Recipes and ingredients are scattered across both worlds, and the reward is cheaper healing for the whole party.
- Skits. Not mechanical, but the largest single chunk of optional content in the game.
Order to do things in
- Finish the story with a party that has a wide Craymel collection.
- Run the Glimmer Spire for experience and one of the better accessory drops.
- Recruit Max if you have not.
- Take on Nereid's Labyrinth.
- Start Unknown only when you want to replay, not as a completion task.
